Party Crashing - Bachelorette Party in the Desert!

A couple months ago I shared these colorful invitation boxes for a friend's bachelorette weekend (find details here) and a couple weeks ago we finally had the fabulous party! Ryan, the bride-to-be, is getting married tomorrow, so I felt it was an appropriate time to share the adorable decorations from her last fling before the ring.

Ryan's little sister and MOH, Quinn, did an aMAZing job planning and getting setup for the weekend. We had so much fun and went to some fab places. The decorations were adorable and I already offered her a gig if she gets tired of nursing :) The flamingo ring game we spotted on Sugar & Cloth's Instagram and thought it would be perfect with some diamonds on the rings. Definitely something I'm going to keep in mind for the future. I loved her strands of pom poms she put with the glitter Bachelorette sign and her sparkly confetti was fun on the gift table. Also, her fiesta touches added the extra touches of color needed to decorate the rented house. Here is a list of the fun places we went over the weekend, in case you are wanting some fun ideas for your Scottsdale Bachelorette Parties:

The koozies and sash were actually designed and drawn out by me. I have some more of the koozies that I will be posting in the shop soon and I'm also going to have a custom option available. The sash, I worked on with a friend who is a graphic designer with mad printing skills. Firming up a couple details and then we will also get those added to the shop!

It was such a fun weekend and I cannot wait to celebrate the big day tomorrow! Ryan and I have known each other since 2nd grade and I'm so happy she found the love of her life. How did we grow up so fast!? Had to share a couple funny kid pictures before sharing the fun bachelorette all grown up!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

Cheers & Lots of Love,

Party Crashing: Art Party!

When you are 8 years old, your birthday is the highlight of your year. You work hard to come up with a theme that defines some part of your character and you want it to be fun! I was lucky enough to work with one of these 8 year old girls to come up with her party favors or party takeaways as her mother likes to call them. The best part? She had an art party! I always loved having arts and crafts at my parties (still do!).  My goal, make pink boxes full of art supplies that were girly and had a touch of bling.

The party sounds like it was a success and the party goers were adorable. The boxes were filled with a miniature art canvas, paints, art apron, hair tie and plastic paint can filled with M&Ms, topped off with a art lollipop.

Happy birthday Annaston! So glad you party was fun and the takeaways were a success!

Party Crashing: Viva Las Bachelorette Party!

When one thinks of a bachelorette party, Las Vegas tends to come to mind! Well these fun girls lived it up right. A couple months ago I got an order from a fun and fabulous girl who wanted some boxes to give as favors at a Viva Las Vegas Bachelorette Party. She said bright, loud and neon, so I took that and rolled with it.

I love putting together boxes for a bachelorette party because the boxes come with fun items like confetti and hair ties, as well as essentials such as water and Advil. I always try to match up with the theme if it is shared and Viva was a great one to live up to.

These boxes were shipped off and ready for a party! This bride-to-be and her posse definitely lived up to that expectation. They setup a great hotel room and looks like the girls were excited for their goodies. Plus the bachelorette herself had this fabulous floral light up crown to rock all night - so jealous!

One of my favorite things about the Little Box of Bachelorette Character is that it can double as a party decoration. You get a lot of little pink boxes and viola! pop of color to your decor!

Turns a plain hotel room into a bachelorette paradise! Another fun item in the box is the confetti pop and these girls weren't messing around when they went to pop them! Why not watch the Bellagio fountains and coordinate your moves by showering confetti? Definitely adds an element of sparkle to your evening...

Having a bachelorette party out of town in somewhere like a hotel can seem daunting, but if you get a few fun decorations with good pops of color, you can make it work! If you are wanting some pink boxes to brighten up your party, you know where to find me. Cheers Y'all!

Girl Bosses

Yesterday, I added a fabulous new box to the Little Box collection called Little Box of Girl Boss Character. It got me thinking, I work with a lot of fabulous girl bosses that are running great little businesses! They have beautiful work, are inspiring and help me to keep my business going as well. I was e-mailing with my friend, Angela, who runs the Wichita Mom's Blog (seriously if you are a mom in Wichita check it out!), and I got to thinking about everything a small business boss has to deal with. That woman raises two gorgeous girls, keeps a house, gets in good family time and managed to start up this great website to help other moms out. She definitely deserves the girl boss title! We were chatting business items between us and then sharing some pointers - best part about knowing other girl bosses. All about sharing the girl power.

Do you have a favorite girl boss you know? I'd love to hear about them and check out their work! I definitely encourage small helping small, girls helping girls. They also don't have to be an owner of a small business; trust me I work with a lot of wonderful girl bosses at my corporate job!

If you are wanting to send some love to one of your favorites (or a birthday gift, or congrats), check out our Little Box of Girl Boss Character! It's full of items that will help them and empower them.

Lots of Love (and girl power!),

Little Update on the Little Box

Wanted to share some of the fun projects we have been working on for Love of Character and our fabulous customers! Aunt Mary and I have had so much fun coming up with new ideas, putting together boxes and working with our wonderful wholesalers.

The popular item thus far has definitely been the Little Box of Bachelorette Character, which is so fun to put together! If you know of anyone planning a bachelorette party, send them my way because we have some fun party favors and I work hard to make them special for the party.

If you order multiple boxes for a party, I always like to throw in a little extra for the bachelorette herself! This order I added an extra hair tie and a ring pop!
If you have your own items to use, you can always order Just the Little Box. I can also get you a quote on the boxes, plus a couple extras like the order above. If you are traveling, I can send the boxes flat and have the pieces organized for you, so you can travel easy and assemble when you get there!
A couple upcoming options for this box style include makeup wipes and ring pops! I will have them posted soon and the makeup wipes make for a good alternative to the water bottles if you are traveling.

I have also been busy with some custom boxes lately. It's fun to mix it up and help someone find a great gift for their particular need.

This baby box was such a hit, I'm working on something similar as a set item in the shop! Look for it soon.
Recently a fellow Junior League member and blogger asked me to do a special box for her friend battling cancer. She told me she wanted something that would brighten her day and that she loved wine, yoga and collecting pictures that made her smile. I absolutely loved putting together this box! I thought the Rifle Paper Co. coasters would make her smile and be perfect for wine. The fun leather photo envelope I happened to have is perfect to hold her pictures and since she isn't going through chemo, she can use the headbands for yoga. We added a cute notepad and glitter pencil, plus my friend had a movie giftcard to add to the box (had to put it in a cute envelope!). Hopefully it brightens her day and reminds her of happy things!
Future boxes to come: Smaller sized! They will be perfect for party favors, wedding guest favors/welcome boxes and others. We are even working on a box idea for new puppies!

Outside of the boxes, we have had other great items I would love for you all to check out!

New prints from Make Things Co. - three different fashionable ladies added to the site!

We also added a new line, Designs by Nicolina:

We also are constantly adding fun items to the paper good section, plus there is more to come! Be on the look out for some adorable coasters this weekend!

How cute is this journal!
We are loving our little business and are excited to see it grow! Please keep us in mind next time you need a cute gift, fun notepad, pretty card or some oh la la party supplies! Also, please reach out to us if you have something particular in mind you would like us to offer.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Lots of Love,
