lil peach e design Workshop

A few weeks ago, we brought in one of our local makers to do a workshop! Shannon, owner of lil' peach e design, taught workshop attendees how to make beautiful pacifier clips and teething necklaces. Her bubbly personality and great style made for such a fun afternoon!

She set up a beautiful bead bar for the students to pull from. How fun is it to pick your own beads that fit your personal style? Before the workshop, she posted a poll to see if they wanted more color or neutrals; neutrals was a heavy favorite. She did, however, mix in some pretty fall colors. Her setup for everything was great. The white bowls really let the beads shine, and the books were such a fun pop of color. It was a great way to show her brand's style and aesthetic. Oh, and those scones she brought were delicious!

The workshop started with the braided pacifier clips. Such a beautiful, simple baby accessory. Plus, it can be extremely useful. Shannon demonstrated for the moms, and then walked around to be hands on help. Love how they turned out!

Next up, the moms were able to raid that bead bar and pick out their favorites. Shannon walked them through pointers for their necklaces, and helped them finish the clasps. Everyone's turned out gorgeous and will be so fun for them to wear for their little ones. Practical and pretty always makes for a mom win!

It was such a fun, easy afternoon for everyone. I always love working with local makers and helping them share their talents. Shannon has a great eye and you can tell she really enjoys what she's doing. As a gift for shop baby, she was sweet enough to make her a fancy turban. The colors are perfect for fall. We carry a few items of hers in the shop (her most popular item is the ICT Flag teether, exclusive to our shop!) and you can find more following her on social media.

Let us know if you would like Shannon to host another workshop at the shop!

Little Star Baby Shower

Party planning is obviously a favorite of mine, and when I get to put together a celebration for a close friend, I enjoy it that much more. My good friend, Hailey, is expecting a baby boy this fall. With our friend, Rachel, we spent the morning spoiling the adorable mother to be! Since she is considering a constellation, star theme for the nursery, that is the direction we took with the shower theme.

Since it was a morning shower, we kept the look of the shower light and airy. For the backdrop, I created an all white balloon garland. I had a star garland that I broke up to use to hang from the garland, and the rest of the stars I used as table scatter.

White and gold with a touch of blue was our color scheme for the table settings. I had fun mixing the gold supplies from the shop. The blue watercolor scallop paper was a nice pop of color on the table under white flowers. Dark galaxy napkins from our space collections were a good tie in for the theme and filled some of the white space. The guests filled out baby advice cards for Hailey, they make for a simple activity and they are adorable to set on the table. I also pulled some star ornaments from our Christmas stock to hand out to guests as a little party favor.

For the brunch, we served some easy go to items: mini quiches from Costco, bagels and scones from Panera (ask to have the bagels bread sliced and scones mini), and fruit salad. Thank you Rachel for pulling all the food together beautifully! Desserts, I reached out to my go to ladies, September Moon Cupcakery and Sweet Sugarlicious. They both created beautiful treats that went perfectly with our theme. Plus, they were delicious.

It was such a sweet morning celebrating our friend, and I loved seeing her interact with her family (who is beyond excited for this sweet baby boy to arrive!). She was spoiled with wonderful gifts - practical, fun, and handmade. If you are ever needing a simple, beautiful theme (and gender neutral), I highly recommend a little star theme!
