Desert Bachelorette Party Invites

Over the past couple months I have been working with a fabulously fun Maid of Honor who wants to make her sister's bachelorette party the best last fling before the ring. To kick off the event, she wanted to invite the small group of girls in a special way. That's where Love of Character got pulled in! Why not get everyone excited for a weekend in the desert by sending pink boxes full of goodies?

We messaged each other back and forth brainstorming ideas and I had so much fun interpreting the ideas! It boiled down to finding the perfect blend of Scottsdale, desert and bachelorette components. First item on the agenda that the MOH and I both immediately thought of: mini cactus! These actually ended up being tricky to track down, but when I stumbled upon them I hit the jackpot:

To match our gorgeous cacti, I remember seeing some perfect cactus elastic to make hair ties that meshed perfectly with our look.

From there, the other items started coming into place. Party in the desert? Calls for margaritas! Need some humor? Add some fun nail polishes with a hilarious saying. Girls need a good munchie, popcorn it is! The invitations were coming together. The most important piece was next, the invitation itself! I loved the idea of lining the top of the box with a gorgeous paper I found. The minute I saw it, I got the party in the desert vibe. Since the box had a lot of character included, I decided to keep the invitation simple. The MOH wanted to give a glimpse of the details and I added a touch of gold to make it pop. For the lingerie sizes, I decided it would be fun to add a little pair of paper undies to the box and included the details on the back:

End result, a fiesta filled bachelorette invite with pops of pink!

Such a fun project and was so excited for the group of girls to receive their little pink boxes! The party is coming up next month and I will make sure to follow up with our festive details. The MOH has planned some amazing activities and we have some more up our sleeve for decoration details.

Glitter It Up! Bridal Brunch Invites

I can't believe it has taken me this long to share these with you. Last month, my wonderful friend, Megan, got married and my mother helped host her Bridal Brunch. She roped me in to help with the invitations and we had so much fun picking them out. Wedding Paper Divas has great designs for an event like this. There are so many fun, glamorous and chic options that you can find a style that fits your bride. Megan's wedding colors were pink and gold, so when we found these we thought they were perfect. A toned down version of pink and gold with a feminine bridal bunch touch:

We of course had to line the envelopes with some fun pink paper - liner makes the envelope so fancy! To add some more character to the invitations, we used fun Stardust pens that my Aunt Mary told me to purchase. It is basically a clear glitter pen that you can use to snazz up an invite, picture, card, etc. They worked great! We filled in the word "Brunch" with glitter and it was a great settle shimmer. Hard to capture in a photo, but trust me it's fabulous!

To address the envelopes I tried out embossing and we loved how they turned out!

The gold added a chic touch to the invite and tied the envelope in with the theme. Plus, I was able to try out the embossing pen. A lot of work to address that many invitations, but it's worth it if you are looking for a statement piece of mail.

At the actual Brunch, my mom was also in charge of the drinks. Don't worry we glittered up those too! Cheers!

Bachelorette Party Invitations - Add Some Glitter!

The start to any bachelorette party is inviting the party girls! I found these fun and festive invitations from the Etsy shop DBN. I fell in love with the saying and the little lingerie at the bottom (they have amazing stuff)! They were perfect for Miss Megan and to add even more character, I decided to line the envelopes with some glitter paper. I found a fun pack of glitter paper at Target. I traced the envelope shape and then cut out the glitter paper to fit. Definitely added some pizazz!

Always fun to get some glitter in the mail! Gets you excited for the party. Yes, it takes a little extra time, but lining an envelope adds so much character!
