Set the Party - Wedding Inspired

Our spring intern, Sarah, put together a beautiful, wedding inspired photo shoot and we are excited to share all the details with you. Plus, we want to show you how you can use our new website feature, Set the Party, to make your table planning fun and easy! Sarah loved the idea of setting a table that could work for showers and receptions using pretty paper goods.

After putting together some mood boards, she pulled the deep teal plates as her base for the table. They mix so well with light colors and helps them pop, especially against our white tables. Using Set the Party, you can play with mixes of plates, napkins, cups, flatware and table cover to see what works before you buy. Sarah used the same items for each place setting, except added two different salad plates for a fun touch. Since it was the end of spring, Sarah brought some gorgeous peonies and greenery from her home garden. Obviously we aren't all that lucky to have flowers to pick, so I chose this fun gold marble runner as another option. It's fun seeing a digital build come to life!

We of course had to add a balloon garland to the setup, and these colors are dreamy for a wedding or shower. Adding greenery adds an elegant touch and tied in the flowers on the table. Sarah did a great job bringing her vision to life. She headed off to Seattle to work for a boutique hotel chain after graduation, and we miss having her around!

What event do you have coming up? You can easily switch out the pink plates for something with a holiday element or color and this would be a gorgeous (and easy to clean) dinner table for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Modern Blush & Navy Wedding Shower

When you are asked by your mother to put together a beautiful shower for a friend, you want to take advantage of having full creative liberties! We decided to go with a feminine, modern look. Jordan, the bride, chose a beautiful, modern china place setting, so we used that for our design inspiration. My mom wanted color, and when I showed her my current favorite navy and blush supplies, she approved!
Edited some information out for privacy
Did you know we carry Minted through the shop? We do, and I love it! After figuring out our look, I stumbled upon this gorgeous navy design. Luckily, my mom and other hostesses approved. It was a perfect introduction to the party style.

As mentioned earlier, our inspiration stemmed from party supplies. This gorgeous collection by one of our vendors, Harlow & Grey, is unique and sets a great table. Like myself, my mom loves to layer and mix and match. We paired it with some new blush forks in the shop, and added rose gold polka dot paper to the tables for a soft pop of color.

My mom has loved our recent balloon garlands at the shop, and requested that I make one for the shower. I wanted to use our pink ombre backdrop, so I decided to use all white balloons. Different sizes, gave it extra impact. The Plaid Giraffe did the flowers, and I was able to get some loose stems for the garland. Love adding florals to my garlands! It was dreamy and the colors gave a bride vibe.

The hostesses work with my mom at The Plaid Giraffe, so I knew the flowers would be amazing. Per usual, they did not disappoint! We had the tables in a U shape, so they did two smaller arrangements on the sides. In the center, the hostesses gifted Jordan an incredibly beautiful bowl she registered for, and filled it with flowers - dreamy! Since it was a China Shower, the hostesses collected money for a group gift of her china pieces. The Plaid Giraffe will setup bride's registered place settings at their shower, which is easy decor for the room. They also wrap the presents, and their bows are wow!

As the shower guests arrived, they were greeted at a mimosa bar. There were multiple juice and garnish options. The "Pop It Like It's Brunch" napkins from the shop were a fun touch!

Food wise, they decided to serve brunch. They offered mini quiches, fruit and pastries. The pastries were served on new scallop trays I ordered for the shop from the new Sugar & Cloth product line. For dessert, they of course ordered cookies from shop favorite Sweet Sugarlicious. They were bridal shower perfection!

My mom and I had so much fun working on this shower together with the other hostesses. I loved bringing the vision to life, and that white balloon garland, might be my favorite to date. It was just so airy and light. Definitely reach out if you would like us to make a garland for your next event!

Happy wedding shower Jordan! Thanks for letting us host you and your family.

Floral Bridal Shower

Last month there was a gorgeous bridal shower hosted in the shop and we had to share the dreamy pictures with you. The fresh flowers and pastel colors were perfect for a late morning event. Plus, they had personal touches everywhere to make it all about the bride-to-be. The hostesses worked hard to make it a special morning for her.

Framed pictures and pictures above the cake table were a great way to celebrate the soon-to-be newlyweds. Frames make for great and easy centerpieces. They added vases of fresh roses, which were a pretty touch of color on the tables. The gown and tux boxes were also a cute touch!

The mimosa bar definitely was stocked! They set out plastic champagne flutes - always fun to drink out of at an event. Carafes with different juice options are a great way to set your bar at a shower and adding cute labels adds an extra touch. You can find different printable signs on Etsy that coordinate with your shower's theme. They worked with Tanner Smith Designs for theirs. Heather, a hostess, picked out the festive "Bubbly" napkins and tassel banner from the shop. Both helped add a little pink to their fun table.

How gorgeous is that cake? I think it's worthy of a wedding! Lucky bride to have it at her shower. The cake was purchased at our local grocery store, Dillons, and the ladies topped it off with fresh flowers. The cake stand it's on is also amazing. Since it was later on a Sunday morning, the hostesses served brunch. I love the glitter ring picks they added to give a touch of wedding to their food spread.

Guests were also asked to participate in simple activities throughout the morning. "Guess the kisses" has been a popular game at shop showers recently. Next, they had little note cards for attendees to fill out, giving their personal advice to the bride-to-be. Always fun for the bride to read through later! Lastly, they had each guest wear a ring and try to avoid saying "bride" or their ring would get snatched. Party goer with the most rings at the end of the shower received a fun prize. Games that are easy, make for a cute setup and don't take up much time are the best for showers.

It was a gorgeous morning and the hostesses did a beautiful job pulling it off! Thank you so much for hosting your bridal shower at the shop.
