Craft Room Sneak: Aunt Mary's!

This past weekend I journeyed down to Florida to meet my cousin's new baby Beau - so cute! He is such a good baby and I might be biased, but he is seriously one of the cutest baby boys around:

I stayed at my Aunt Mary's house and like usual, night one we were in her craft room checking things out. She has quite the craft room and has recently added some amazing peg boards, similar to the one in Baby Beau's nursery. The are so fun and add another element of character to her fun and inspiring room. Plus, they are useful when trying to find tools! Check them out and the rest of her fun room:

The baskets and hooks on the peg boards make for great storage - she organized by activity and is able to easily grab what she needs - pretty and organizational!
She made a cute bench after I posted about the one in our guestroom - I'm obsessed with her fabric choice! You can check out the how to instructions here.
Whole corner is adorable and the green flower knobs are a great pop of character.
The colors and shapes of her peg boards are amazing. She has a framing/artist lady that helped her - jealous!
On the other side of the room she has all of her paper and ribbon storage - she has quite the collection! It is so fun to go through when I'm there and I love receiving packages from her!
I also love this board - she took a cookie sheet, covered in gorgeous paper and viola! magnetic board!
I am so jealous of her craft room and all that she has stored away in there - seriously she is like an in home craft store! There is probably a reason I was named after her...

Nursery Sneak: Peg Board Update

A couple of days ago, I posted pictures of Beau's adorable nursery, and you probably noticed that the peg board was not yet compete. Well I'm happy to tell you all that it is now completed and looks great! Such a fun idea...

They worked with their regular frame shop and had the lady put the wood frame and peg board together. I then pulled a navy ribbon through the hangs on the back and tied it at the top - wanted a cute way to hang it on the wall. Then, they attached the metal baskets with  peg board hooks. I love how they organized them - so cute to put in the useful items and also some cute items to accent!

Thinking Baby Beau is going to have a nice welcome home!

Nursery Sneak: Baby Beau's Whaley Cute Room!

While I was in Florida, I helped Emily put the finishing touches on the adorable nursery. She already had the great main pieces, so we just needed to figure out arrangements, pictures and put it all together. Her color scheme is green, blue and gray. Whales are the main theme, but I love how we incorporated them because I don't think it is too overwhelming. I love to bring in simple touches of a theme!

Glider is comfortable and looks cute in the room - from Wayfair. The rug is from RUGS USA and the colors are perfect!

Love this little "lovie" from The Plaid Giraffe my mom got embroidered for Beau!

Crib is from Wayfair | Sheets from Land of Nod | Crib Bumper from Serena & Lily | Whale Blanket from Social Manor
For easy & affordable artwork in the nursery, I took the cards I got in my Olive Box a couple months ago and framed them!

Love the whale bookends they found at a beach shop and spray painted!

The dresser is adorable and the peg board is a work in progress - had to get Uncle Dan over to help hang it. We added a cute navy ribbon to hang it with and Emily has gray metal baskets to attach - going to hold diapers.

I had to make Baby Beau a silhouette! You can order one from my Etsy shop if you want one for your nursery!

Love all his cute personalized burp cloths!

I think the room turned out great and for being in an apartment, not able to paint the walls, the room looks bright and cozy! Now we just have to wait for the big arrival!

Whale Themed Baby Shower!

Sorry for the MIA status on the blog, but I was busy having a wonderful adventure in Florida! Good news is that I now have some good material to share with you all. I took a million pictures while I was down there and had so much fun spending time with my family and preparing for Baby Beau. To start off the details, I'm going to share Emily's adorable baby shower we hosted on Sunday!

The theme was whales because that is the main theme in Beau's nursery. With the help from a couple of her friends and the grandmothers, we put together a great shower! The main colors were blue and green and everything tied in wonderfully. I love the different touches that we had with the colors and how each hostess brought in a different element. Here are some pictures from the wonderful event:

I had to make some fun "It's A Boy!" Confetti Pops!
Honest Company's Anchor Diapers - perfect for the diaper cake! My Aunt Mary also made an embroidered animal for Baby Beau!

Publix cakes are the best!
My Aunt Mary put together cute bottles for us to drink out of - great baby shower idea!

Whale banner ordered from Amazon - comes with different options for the sayings.

We had 3 different diaper cakes that people brought! All were adorable and so fun.
Beautiful mother-to-be!
The fun whale supplies mostly came from Amazon.
Mandy put together a cute game around "Price Is Right" - guests had to guess the prices for the items below. Simple and fun shower game if you need an idea.

My favorite part - Aunt Mary's amazing favors! She made little paper baby shoes, decorated Hershey Kisses and embossed note cards for everyone - so fabulous:

Femi's mom brought the cute little baby boy chocolates and mints! They definitely showered the guests with love from the grandmothers.
It was fun to celebrate Emily and baby Beau - he has some wonderful new presents to use! Thanks to Christina for hosting at her home and to Mandy for ordering the fun whale items. Emily is definitely loved and I'm so glad I was there to join in on the celebration - countdown to Baby Beau is on!
