Ladies Bunko Night

Do you have an event coming up that you want to look pretty, but not take a lot of time to setup? That was our goal for a family friend's Bunko Night. She was getting back in town right before hosting and decided having the event at the store was a better option. I could then help her setup and she wouldn't have to worry about cleaning her house right after a trip. I had fun pulling pretty things that gave a casual, but beautiful look!

Since it was a ladies event, I went for simple elegance. It was right before Valentine's day, so we wanted it to be Valentine-y without being over the top. We decided to go with a long table setup for their dinner, so they could easily socialize. I knew my mom's wooden candle holder would work perfectly again and The Plaid Giraffe put together some gorgeous flowers for it. I pulled this fabulous abstract paper from Moglea to use as the pop of color on the tables. Their wrapping paper is the perfect way to make a settle, but bold statement. Plus, the pinks, purples and peach colors were fun for a Valentine look. Throwing nice sheets of wrapping paper on a table is an easy and affordable way to dress it up. You can go with simple or busy patterns and coordinate with your tableware.

Knowing that the hostess likes gold, I decided to use gold appetizer and dinner plates for the evening. I pulled some festive heart napkins to capture the Valentine spirit of the evening. They coordinated well with the Moglea paper. For appetizers we used the gold ruffle small plates and added the die cut hot pink heart napkins. Then, for dinner, I pulled these great gold stripe plates and matched them up with the larger heart print napkins. On the food table, we set out gold forks for them to use, those looked great with the plates.

One of the prettiest decorations, was the dessert for the evening. The hostess hired one of my favorites, Sweet Sugarlicious, to bake cookies. She must have read my mind because the colors worked perfectly with the color pallet of the event! The addition of fun sprinkles added some fun flair for the ladies night. I also loved how they were a Valentine design, but not over the top themed. She does such a great job! Beautiful desserts are a great way to dress up you table.

If you are ever in need of an easy space for a small event, our shop is just the place! We can help you set a beautiful table even if it is just a fun ladies bunko night. If you are setting up at home, definitely keep the above pointers in mind! We have some great wrapping papers that would help dress up any event and I highly recommend Sweet Sugarlicious for beautiful cookies. Keep things simple with pops of pretty colors!

Lots of Love,
