Styling a Coffee Table & Giveaway!

I told you all yesterday that I would share setting up a coffee table, so here it is! Obviously it depends on the shape of your coffee table, but you can take the ideas and scale as necessary. I think it's important to add different heights and textures to your table. Make sure you also have some room to set things on it as needed (aka, so you don't have take everything off whenever you want to use the table). My usual coffee table items include books or stylish magazines, coasters and something for height, such as a candle, pedestal bowl or flowers. Here is the breakdown of my current situation:

A coffee table is a great place to add some character to your living room. I love the different colors on my current table, plus the pops of gold. The flowers are from my birthday and I'm definitely going to keep that up with something - Alstroemeria are a pretty and affordable option from your local grocery store and they tend to last a long time. The M&Ms probably won't stay stocked because having them out all the time would be too tempting! Candy is great to set out for guests and parties though. You could also put wrapped candy in the bowl - if it's wrapped, I seem to eat less. To switch things up on your table, you can always add a cool tray and put some of the items on the tray.

Coffee table books are a great statement on your coffee table and I love adding my gold urchin from Social Manor on top for a pop of gold and texture:
