That's a Wrap!

Finally started wrapping up my gifts for the holidays! I found the fun red and white paper while shopping with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law at IKEA. I loved the red and white stripe and to my surprise, the back has polka dots! I then went to Michael's and purchased three different ribbons in red and white - wanted each packaged to have it's own touch - and I bought some shiny ornaments to add to the bow. I think they turned out festive and full of holiday character...

I found the cute "Santa" bag at Michael's - they have lots of different options. I love it for bringing gifts around and it was only a couple of dollars. Great for filling with children's presents. Have fun wrapping and share any good ideas you have!

Washi Tape Packaging

So last night I needed to wrap Rachel's shower gift and freaked out a little bit when I realized I was out of ribbon. I decided to get creative and make use of some fun washi tape that I have! I think the final results turned out pretty cute for a 10 pm wrapping job:

I used a fun polka dot paper I found at Target - 50% off, so go now to snatch it up! And I used the glitter washi tape I found in their dollar section - Target has seriously been rocking lately! I wrapped it around and connected the tape on the bottom of the package. I put regular tape on top of that to make sure it stayed. I then looped the tape together with tails hanging off to make the bow. To add a finishing touch, I stuck some rhinestone pins through the middle. Viola! Wrapped gift with no ribbon. Something fun and different to try, plus carrying in the gifts to work, I didn't have to worry about crushing the bows.

Lots of Love,

Covered in Glitter

It's the most wonderful time of the year and I finally have our fun gifts wrapped under our tree! I found fun red and white striped paper at Target and green glitter ribbon at Hobby Lobby. Of course the night of wrapping ended with green glitter all over the place (hence the title), but I love how my packages turned out! The jingle bells added a festive touch and the chalkboard labels from the Target dollar section were fun (yes - I had to incorporate chalkboard in one more time this season!)

Gifts are a great decoration for the holidays and since you have to wrap them, you might as well make them full of character! Here are the supplies I used:

Hobby Lobby: Glitter Ribbon & Jingle Bells (scored it for 50% off during their sales!)
Target: Wrapping Paper, Baker's Twine & Chalkboard Labels
Amazon: Chalkboard Marker

If you haven't started wrapping, you have one more week until Christmas Eve! If you haven't started shopping...well you better get out there!

Special shout out to one of my favorite readers & friends, Sande! She got us one of my wishlist items for a Christmas present and it is perfect for our wedding picture - thank you!!
