Spell Bound Playhouse

Elizabeth's little playhouse needed a Halloween makeover! You can read more about our playhouse  here (highly recommend a playhouse for your little ones! Elizabeth loves hers). We added a couple cute touches from the shop and invited our cute neighbor, Adeline (also know as "Ads" when you ask Elizabeth), over to play. You can go in so many directions with Halloween decor, and we had fun going with a spell, witchy look that was colorful.

Our new felt garlands have been a huge hit, and I snagged the Spell On You one to use as our inspiration for the photo shoot. I love the simplicity and colors this brand uses. Elizabeth and I also made a mini garland because we do love our balloons! I included Elizabeth because she likes to act like she's blowing up the balloons with me and then spilled them everywhere - fun times. Topped it of with a holographic ghost to make it a little extra.

These new Hocus Pocus inspired plates that coordinate with the garland are too cute! Those witches are a holiday staple and their quotes classic. We paired them with the black cat napkins in honor of Binx. Little pumpkins are an easy centerpiece, especially on a tiny table and when littles are around. Why my child tries to eat her pumpkins, I will never understand.

Our little models were too cute and always have a great time playing together. We topped them off with adorable bat hair clips and the mini witch hat. So cute to rock all month! Plus they make such a festive gift. Shout out to Adeline for joining in on our fun yesterday!

Sugar Skull Soiree

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Last year, we hosted this dark, glam craft party for a creative middle schooler. When she reached out again this year, we definitely wanted to help! We got in some fun sugar skull party supplies and I was so excited when we had a chance to use them for this Halloween craft party. I figured the flowery, bright vibe of sugar skulls would be fun for girls their age.

Iram, the mother, loved the theme and picked up our sugar skull die cut plates and matched them with our rose gold scallop cups (love this combo!). These plates are a favorite of the season and you can pair them with lots of different paper products. She had picked up some napkins and a brightly colored table cloth that went with the theme. Made for a festive table!

The best feature of the setup? The backdrop inspired by the sugar skull plates! I thought it would be fun to enlarge the design and enhance the features. Middle school girls love taking photos and sharing them on social media, so we definitely wanted something fun for them to stand in front of. I tried my best to match the colors of the plate when picking out poster board. Helena got to work on the sugar skull masterpiece (one of my creative shop girls!), and it turned out better than I could imagine!

For their craft, the girls worked on decorating mini white pumpkins. I picked up some neon puff paints, glitter paint and sticker jewels for them to use. They were able to decorate to using the bright sugar skull designs and flowers as inspirations. Iram also hired one of our favorite entertainers, Just Face It, to paint the girls' faces with sugar skull designs.

Food wise, Iram kept it simple for dinner with Chick-fil-a nuggets. Then she had a little fun with the desserts and picked up ghost cookies and a festive bundt cake. It was a fun evening and it sounds like the girls had a great time together! We loved putting together another Halloween party for them, and were happy to hear how much they enjoyed the setup.

If you are looking for unique party supplies, and a twist on the traditional Halloween look, sugar skulls are a fun way to go. Want a more traditional look? We have so many great supplies for that as well! Stop in and get your supplies for the upcoming holiday!

Annual Halloween Party

Another year, another Billings' Annual Halloween Bash. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to do a blog post on our party this year. Mainly because I had to quickly turnaround and start decorating for Christmas, so I had put Halloween behind me. However, I decided to do one for myself because I enjoy looking back each year and seeing how we decorated, what goofy costumes we wore and what costume my brother pulled off better than anyone else - you'll see what I mean! Plus, my husband did a pretty awesome job at our outdoor decorations again this year and he deserves some credit.

Also, special shout out to Jax & Co. that let me use her decor items from the Little Shops of Horror event. I had fun mixing them in with my own. I always like to spook out our living and dining rooms to make it fun for our guests. Since it was so nice out this year, we actually spent most of the time on the porch handing out candy. Dustin made his delicious chili and we had some other snacks, plus the usual "Mangria" and potions.

Now, onto the costumes of the evening. I only managed to snap pics of the family, but they were pretty good...

My favorite of the night - Mikey in his Bill Lumbergh get up. Pretty spot on, mug included!

Dustin decided to go as his life role model, his dad! Turned out pretty good, except he couldn't keep the mustache on like Doug can. I went out in true 90's fashion as a Lisa Frank unicorn.

Our favorite trick-or-treater? Super Girl Leni of course!

I mean look at that chocolate covered face! :) She was very helpful passing out candy. Thanks Kelly for bringing her by!

Hope you all had a frightfully good Halloween! We definitely enjoyed spending time with some family and friends and even had the 1000+ trick or treaters stop by again. Thanks to all our party guests for spending the evening with us!

Lots of Love,
