Rifle Paper Baby Shower

A couple of months ago my friend, Hailey, and I threw a baby shower for mama to be, Rachel. Her nursery was Rifle Paper Co. inspired, so we went all out Rifle Paper with her shower, which I of course loved doing! It was hosted in our 3202 white wall space, so we let the tableware and seating area be the pops of color. Celebrating a friends baby is always a special occasion and we wanted it to be fun for her!

Invitations were designed in house. We started doing more of our own invitations and I was excited to work on these. To give it an extra touch, I lined the enveloped with Rifle Paper wrapping paper from the shop. 

This garden party table was planned using our Set the Party table planning feature. Rachel's favorite color is navy, so I mixed in these new china inspired dinner plates we carry. They are classic and elegant, which was a good anchor piece to the busy floral patterns. I wanted to share this setup this week because it's great Mother's Day inspiration, especially since a lot of us will be spending it at home. Desserts were ordered from my go to ladies Sweet Sugarlicious  and September Moon Cupcakery (make sure to check out her wonderful new website!). Flower cookie & cupcake designs are always a favorite!

Fun balloons were a must for the shower, and I wanted it to have a floral vibe. With help from event coordinator, Emily, we created a garland inspired by the Garden Party collection we used on the tables. I loved the lemons mixed in and balloon daisies are always a fun touch. For the food area, we covered the wall in white balloon daisies to give the shower a whimsical touch. 

One of the party guests planned a shower game that involved mini escape room like boxes. She had special codes based on different baby items. Inside the boxes were prizes for the new mom-to-be. It was cute and simple, plus fun for the guests to work together.

It was a fun afternoon celebrating Rachel and baby Claire (who recently arrived and is beyond adorable!). This theme works well for many occasions, baby showers to wedding showers and garden parties. During this time, use it to brighten up occasions at home like celebrating your mom this weekend, backyard dinners and at home birthday parties.

Magical Frozen Event

With the new Frozen II movie coming out this weekend (did you see it!?), we thought we would bring some ice magic to the shop! Working with Happily Ever After Parties, Elsa and Ana came to visit a group of very excited littles. Special thank you to Laura Friedberg Photography for capturing the morning!

To set the scene magic enough for an Ice Queen and Princess, we went with an icy blue and silver look. Event coordinator, Emily, created the perfect Elsa ice swoosh balloon garland for the backdrop. She added iridescent snowflakes and garlands for an icy touch. On the tables, we used our Set the Party feature to mix and match blue and silver tableware. I added the multi-color star napkins for a fun pop of color. Sweet Sugarlicious made gorgeous snowflake and tiara cookies - loved by everyone of course!

For the craft, children made Christmas Tree ornaments. I purchased large plastic ornaments from Michaels and lots of fun sequins, confetti, snow and pom poms for the kids to fill them with. Easy and fun, plus it's that time of year for tree decorating. We also handed out packets of instant snow, so they could go home and make some Elsa magic of their own. 

My favorite part of the event was seeing all the adorable littles dressed up like princesses. They were in awe of the Ice Queen and Princess. They learned a dance to Olaf's summer song and had a sing-a-long. Pictures were taken, treats were enjoyed and songs were sang. It was a jam packed morning!

With the new movie fever, Frozen parties will be back on the rise (even though I'm not sure they ever stopped). We have so many fun products to add different spins on the theme! To shop this party, click on the set party setup below:

3202 Venue Opening Disco Party

This spring we opened our new event venue, 3202, and what better way to celebrate than a DISCO!  Opening this venue space was a big step for us and our growth plan. We painted the walls white to give customers a blank canvas and we loved the lightness of it. The floors needed some TLC from my landlord and my awesome husband built the divider walls. In the back of the space, we added a small prep kitchen area.  In the front half of the space, we put in a new balloon bar and moved our party supplies to shelves against the wall (which are covered by the divider walls in these pictures since we used the full space to party). So nice to have more space to display things and more room to party!

To celebrate the hard work my family and team put in to making this addition happen, we decided to invite family and friends to party with us. I had been dying to do a colorful disco. We went all out with color, sparkle, balloons and fringe for this party. I may or may not have based it on an amazing jacket that I found with layers of metallic fringe. We fringed the new divider walls, added a giant chain across the wall (such a fun pop of wow), and adorned all white garlands with sparkly fringe. Luckily, my friend's mom has loads of disco balls, so we were able to add those everywhere to bring in the true disco style. Invitations were made by Cara P Designs, which we carry in the shop (she's so fun to work with!). Photos were taken by my fabulous friend Sally Cavanaugh - captured the space and party beautifully.

For food we worked with some of our shop favorites that kept with the colorful vibe. For apps, I called upon boards master, Hannah with BOARDS Wichita. She made two gorgeous boards - one of each Charcuterie and Crudités. Wendi with Sweet Sugarlious made some disco worthy cookies that danced off the tables quickly. Adorable stamped disco balls topped the fun cupcakes by Cara of September Moon Cupcakery. Lastly, I had to add one of my favorite snacks, birthday popcorn from The Popcorner. Drinks were served by Shaken or Stirred and they definitely know how to keep a party flow going! I have some talented friends in the food and beverage category. For supplies we pulled all things iridescent and added pops of color with new paper glasses we carry in the shop - so dang fun.

Besides playing groovy tunes, I brought in the fun filled Lamphouse crew to setup a photo booth for entertainment. The let me play with a fun balloon backdrop and designed fun photo cards for guests to take home. People were loving it and everyone went home with at least one silly photo. Highly recommend for you next event!

It was such a fun night and I'm so thankful to everyone that stopped by to disco with us! This has been an insane 2019 and it's nice to have little things like this every once in awhile. Since it's been a couple months, I think it's time we party again - I mean, partying is what we do best. This coming Saturday, June 15th, join us to celebrate our 3rd birthday! Saturday morning we will swag bags for the first 10 customers, 20% off one item, face painting from 10-12pm with Just Face It!, cupcakes from September Moon Cupcakery and a fun charity raffle. We wouldn't be where we are today without all of you, so please come help us celebrate!
