Little Bunny Brunch with Avery & Grey

When one of your favorite local makers approaches you about a Easter workshop, you hop on it! Caroline with Avery & Grey is a very talented local hair accessory maker (aka mom boss, girl boss, and good friend), and her products fly out our door. She saw some plastic bunny ears and came up with a fun, easy way for children to decorate them for a workshop. I asked local photographer, Mollie Wetta, to capture the moments and she did a beautiful job! I am so lucky to be friends with so many talented photographers in Wichita, and I love having them come to the events. She took photos of the details, and the attendees having fun with their friends and family - love capturing these moments!

We have so many cute Easter supplies this year, I wanted to add on a little brunch to the workshop - we entertain and feed your littles lol! I pulled the blue liberty print small plates to mix with the large blue gingham plates, and topped off with a yellow gingham napkin. Florals and gingham patterns definitely give that Easter brunch feeling to a table! The adorable Liberty bunny treat bags have always been a favorite of mine, and I wanted to figure out a fun use for them. At our local grocery store, I found a gorgeous bunch of Hydrangeas and decided to put them in the bags (set a small plastic wine cup of water inside and cut off the bag straps). We filled little plastic carrot bags with Annie's Organic Cheddar Bunnies to add a contrasting color.

For the backdrop behind the kid tables, my team helped me create this pretty daisy backdrop inspired by one of our favorite creative bloggers, The House that Lars Built. We did it a little differently: instead of individual petals, we did two sets of 4 petals and stacked them. the ones behind were made from a thinner, easy to cut paper, and the ones on top were made from poster board. The thicker poster board gave the wall more dimension. It was a cute backdrop for the party guests to take pictures in front of! The chick balloons were a last minute add in, and definitely stole the show!

Caroline setup her bunny ear craft on the large white tables to make sure there was plenty of room to get crafty. Each child got to pick the color of ears they wanted, a paper insert, and then if they wanted, sweet flower embellishments. She picked the paper from our single sheet collection, and went with pretty Liberty of London and Rifle Paper Co. patterns - so dreamy for Easter! We loved seeing the children and adults interact. Everyone's turned out so well.

While their ear headbands dried, the little party guests enjoyed their bunny brunch. We served mini cinnamon rolls, "bunny tails" aka powdered donut holes, Chick-fil-a mini biscuits, carrots, and grapes. Easy and delicious bunny breakfast snacks! To snaze up the snacks, we pulled one of our cute Easter Cupcake Kits - cute liners and food picks. These tall cake topper picks and mini acylic ones would also be fun for your Easter brunch. I added peeps randomly with the snacks because they're a classic Easter treat.

Next, the kids had fun painting Easter egg cookies. I wanted to do a fun egg decorating activity, without a lot of mess. Decided to go with one of our favorite activites: PYO Cookies! Sweet Sugarlicious did not disappoint. She made fun outlines on the cookies, and the kids used the colorful flowers as their paint palette. Easy, mess free activity with a delicious ending!

It was such a fun morning, and great way to start of the week of Easter! The children had a wonderful time and made some new friends. Plus, they all now have cute ears to wear during their fun Easter egg hunts! Thank you so much to everyone that came. Caroline, we loved working with you on this project, and can't wait to brainstorm more ideas. Mollie, you did an amazing job with photos - thank you! LOC team, thanks again for helping me pull off another fun event!
