I can’t believe it, but baby (not so baby) Leni turned four this past month! This year, she and her mom, Kelly, decided to host the party at the shop. With all of our fun, new supplies, I was excited to hear what kind of party she wanted to have. Fairies! Her love of fairies runs deep thanks to her “Gaga,” my Aunt Sue. At Gaga’s house, she gets visits and prizes from her beloved fairies. We had just received the new shipment of fairy party supplies, so it was the perfect theme to play with!
Kelly found inspiration on Pinterest and we started from there. Leni wanted a girly, pink fairy party, so we went all out pink and glitter. For the backdrop, we used the gorgeous new backdrop I had local maker, Liv from Liv+Work, create. I love the dyed pink ombré look! We then followed instructions from the inspiration blog post, and created a fairy door. We topped it off with a balloon garland, that Kelly added faux peonies to. Kelly brought in fake topieries to set next to the door. She also spray painted and glittered skinny tree branches that we put in the pots. It was the magical, fairy look she was aiming for.
On the tables, we used new daisy plates matched with pink napkins. The girls attending the party decorated fairy houses, so we set out their supplies on the tables. Kelly picked up some small fairy dolls as well. On the backs of the chairs, we hung pink fairy wings. Gold glitter and faux peonies were added to dress them up. Each party guest also received one of our new fairy tiaras - so pretty! Nothing cuter than seeing a bunch of little girls running around with fairy wings and tiaras.
Snacks were kept simple, but with the theme. She filled flower cupcake holders with fresh berries, and served cheese on butterfly crackers. We ordered mini cupcakes from shop favorite, September Moon Cupcakery. The toadstools and pink fairy wings went perfectly with out look. Kelly also ordered an incredible (and delicious) cake from Cheri’s Bakery. The sugar flowers on the cake were amazing. She then topped it off with Leni’s fairies from Gaga’s house - she loved that they were coming to her party.
The morning was pure magic in the eye’s of a new four year old. She had her friends, fairies and a party all about her - doesn’t get much better than that. I absolutely love helping make children’s party dreams come to life, and it’s extra special when it’s for a family member. Seeing her smile when she walked in melted my heart (as well as her tears when it was all over - so sad when your fun party for the year comes to an end!).
If you are looking for a whimsical theme, I highly suggest a fairy theme! We have lots of different supplies that will work for any look. You can shop them here or contact us to put together some ideas for you.
Lots of Love,
