Two-can Dance Party

When we had the opportunity to partner with Kara from Jazzercise for an event, we literally jumped at the chance! Offering the event in February gave us the perfect opportunity to create a “date night” for parents and their sons & daughters and it was a blast.

Dinner was first on the agenda!  We provided Ziggy’s Pizza, fresh fruit, veggies and Connie’s Cookies for dessert. The glittery pink and red heart cookies were the only traditional Valentine colors in the room! 

On the tables, we used the newest WILD party supplies from Meri Meri: the Toucan Napkins, Leaf napkins, Tiger Plates, Palm Leaf Plates and Crocodile Platters. The leaf centerpieces and safari-theme favors tied the look together.

We wanted the backdrop to be festive and fun so we mixed palm and monstera leaves with a green balloon garland. The sparkly 3D Disco Ball balloons and Disco Ball String Lights add the ultimate touch of shimmer and shine! 

After dinner, guests got to work creating corsages and boutonnieres! For the corsages, we used pull-flowers that easily knotted around the elastic band or velvet ribbon and hot glue to add fresh blooms, greenery and baby’s breath. On the boutonnieres, we wrapped fresh sprigs of greenery and flowers with floral tape before tying it with a decorative ribbon.  It was adorable to see the children wearing their floral “bracelets” and boutonnieres.

After everyone adorned themselves in flowers, it was time for the main event! Kara brought the party with her animal theme playlist to include Hakuna Matata, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and The Hamster Dance. She taught party-goers how to Waltz like a warthog, do the Rhino Rock n Roll, Lion Tango, Chimp Cha-Cha, and the ever-popular, freestyle! She brought the crowd to their feet and we loved seeing the smiles! A huge thanks to Erin Kata Photography for capturing all the fun!
