Party planning is obviously a favorite of mine, and when I get to put together a celebration for a close friend, I enjoy it that much more. My good friend, Hailey, is expecting a baby boy this fall. With our friend, Rachel, we spent the morning spoiling the adorable mother to be! Since she is considering a constellation, star theme for the nursery, that is the direction we took with the shower theme.
Since it was a morning shower, we kept the look of the shower light and airy. For the backdrop, I created an all white balloon garland. I had a star garland that I broke up to use to hang from the garland, and the rest of the stars I used as table scatter.
For the brunch, we served some easy go to items: mini quiches from Costco, bagels and scones from Panera (ask to have the bagels bread sliced and scones mini), and fruit salad. Thank you Rachel for pulling all the food together beautifully! Desserts, I reached out to my go to ladies, September Moon Cupcakery and Sweet Sugarlicious. They both created beautiful treats that went perfectly with our theme. Plus, they were delicious.
It was such a sweet morning celebrating our friend, and I loved seeing her interact with her family (who is beyond excited for this sweet baby boy to arrive!). She was spoiled with wonderful gifts - practical, fun, and handmade. If you are ever needing a simple, beautiful theme (and gender neutral), I highly recommend a little star theme!
